An IPTV player for your own playlists

Yes. On the website add a list of type “Cameras”, and the “Add camera” box builds the correct addresses for popular brands (Hikvision/HiLook, Dahua/Imou, Ezviz, Reolink, Tapo, Uniview) and multi-channel recorders; you can also enter your own RTSP, HLS or HTTP address. Cameras appear in a separate Cameras tab, with multi-view (pages of up to 16 cameras) on Android TV, Google TV and Windows; on Enigma2 receivers you get a full-screen camera and a 2×2 preview. Cameras on your home network work when the TV is on the same network; from outside you need remote access set up on your side (e.g. a VPN). For live view it is best to set an H.264 sub-stream on the camera and turn off H.264+/H.265+.

Up to 9, but every window is a separate stream and a separate connection. IPTV subscriptions often allow only a limited number of simultaneous connections. For Xtream accounts the app reads that limit and plays only as many windows as the account allows. With cameras and recorders it depends on the device. Older or budget TVs may not decode many streams at once; if playback stutters, switch to the 2×2 layout.

You can create up to 6 profiles, each with its own favourites, lists, channel order and recently watched; at start the app asks “Who's watching?”. The kids profile hides locked and adult categories, and leaving it or opening settings requires the parental PIN. PIN locks apply to all profiles.

In the TV guide, pick an upcoming programme and set a reminder. 5 minutes before it starts, the app shows a message and switches to the channel with one click. Reminders work while the app is open. The guide and reminders need EPG from your provider (e.g. an XMLTV link).

Yes, we have a reseller programme: resellers buy a pool of activation codes and activate their customers' devices in the reseller panel. The codes activate the app only and include no content. To apply, write to us via the Contact page; if you already have an account, sign in at /reseller.

On the “My playlists” page, click “Categories” next to the playlist. Select categories (one by one, a whole group such as “PL”, or with the search box) and choose “Hide selected” or “Add to favourites”. “Keep only a group” hides everything except the chosen group. The TV picks up the changes within a few minutes. You can do the same on the TV: hold OK on a category and choose “Manage categories”. Kyvo TV only tidies what you see in the app. It changes nothing at your playlist provider.

Update the app by installing the new version over the old one, and nothing changes. After uninstalling, or on a new TV, the app gets a new code and PIN. Sign in on the “My playlists” page with one device's code and, under “Move to another device”, enter the other device's code and PIN. Your playlists, settings (favourites, hidden categories, profiles) and subscription move over, and the source device is deleted. On TVs and boxes with Android TV / Google TV, on Windows 10 / 11 computers and on Enigma2 receivers with OpenATV 7.6 / 8.0, OpenPLi 9.2, OpenBH 6.0. Download the Windows and Enigma2 versions on the “Download” page; their prices are in the price list. The licence is bound to one device.

TV channels in Europe usually run at 25 or 50 frames per second, but many TV boxes output 60 Hz, which makes motion uneven. In the box settings (Display → Resolution) choose 1080p 50 Hz. On newer devices you can instead turn on “Match display refresh rate to video” in the Kyvo TV settings. If the picture still judders at 50 Hz, turn off “Align frames to display refresh”. If the picture briefly freezes, connect the device with a cable instead of Wi-Fi. On weaker TV boxes (e.g. with an Allwinner processor) where some channels still stutter, set “Playback engine” → “Device system player” in Kyvo TV and turn on “Enable pass through” (HDMI output only) in the box’s sound settings. The TV then decodes Dolby audio.

On Android TV / Google TV: in the player press MENU → “Record” (until the programme ends or for a set time); in the TV guide hold OK on a programme → “Record” or “Record series”. Films and episodes have “Download”, and an interrupted download resumes where it stopped. Everything is in the “Recordings” tab. Choose where to save in Settings → Recordings: the TV memory, a USB stick or disk (formatted as NTFS or FAT32, as many TVs cannot read exFAT) or a network folder on a NAS or a Windows computer. Enter the address, user and password with the remote or on your phone by scanning the QR code on the screen (the details stay in your home network). Each recording is a separate connection to your provider: with a 1-connection plan the app respects the limit: you watch the channel being recorded from the recording file, and a film download waits until you stop watching or recording. On Windows computers: in the player “Options” (MENU or right-click) → “Record” (until the programme ends, for a set time or until stopped); in the TV guide hold OK or right-click a programme → “Record” or “Record series” (new episodes are recorded automatically). Films and episodes have “Download”, and an interrupted download resumes. Recordings are saved to the Videos\Kyvo TV folder or another folder chosen in Settings → Recordings, also a network folder (\\computer\folder). With “Run in the background after closing the window” Kyvo TV waits in the tray by the clock and records scheduled programmes, and with “Start with Windows” it starts when you sign in. At recording time the computer must not be asleep or switched off. On Enigma2 receivers: REC or MENU in the player and in the TV guide, MENU → “Download” on a film or episode; recordings also appear in the receiver's own recordings list, and a network drive is mounted in the receiver settings.

Budget Android TV devices have little memory, and the manufacturer’s factory apps, ads and recommendations run in the background. Turning off home screen previews makes the biggest difference, and shorter animations and removing unused apps also help. Speed up your TV

With Xtream Codes accounts the TV guide usually comes from your provider automatically. You can add your own XMLTV guide on the “My playlists” page: edit the list and paste the link into the “EPG (XMLTV) URL” field. For M3U lists the same field is also in the app when you add the list. If a channel’s guide is missing or wrong, open the channel menu and choose “TV guide for this channel”: take the guide from another channel on the list, from the XMLTV guide, or none. On Enigma2 receivers, channels without a provider guide can even get the guide straight from satellite, from the receiver’s tuner (setting in Lists).
