We do not provide, sell, host or recommend any channels, playlists or other content. • Use the app only with playlists and sources you are legally entitled to use: from a licensed provider or your own. • You alone are responsible for the sources you add and for how you use the app; the operator of Kyvo TV is not liable for their legality or for any use that breaks the law or the terms. • We do not support piracy. Data controller

What data we process

Device data: random installation ID, device code and PIN, a hash of the device key, a hash of the hardware identifier (used only to prevent repeated free trials), device model, OS and app version, language, registration and last-connection dates.

Playlist data added by the user: names, playlist and EPG URLs, server address, Xtream Codes username and password (the password is stored encrypted).

App settings and playlist category names: the app stores a copy of its settings on the server (favourites, hidden categories, order, profiles, the parental PIN in encrypted form) and the category names of your playlist (without adult categories), so that you can move them to a new device and manage categories on the “My playlists” page. We do not store channel or film names or stream addresses; only you can see the category names, after signing in with your code and PIN.

Subscription data: trial and subscription validity, the activation code used, for Google Play purchases: a hash of the purchase token, order ID and expiry date, and for payments on the website: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, payment amount and date (we never receive card details).

IP address: only temporarily, in server memory, for abuse protection (attempt limits), and in technical server logs.

Shared account (if you use it): on the "My playlists" page you can link your devices into one account. We then store which devices are linked, without a name, e-mail or password. You remove the link on the website or by changing the PIN on the device.

What we do NOT do

We do not create user accounts and do not collect names, e-mail addresses or phone numbers (unless you write to us). The e-mail address and payment details used when paying on the website are entered directly on the Stripe payment page and stored by Stripe; our server does not store them.

We do not track what you watch. We use no analytics, no ads and no tracking cookies.

Kyvo Launcher (home screen)

Kyvo Launcher does not create accounts and does not send the list of your apps, your settings or your photos to our server. Photos sent from your phone via the QR code go directly to the TV on your home network and stay only there.

Weather (if you turn it on): the city name typed when searching, plus the coordinates of the chosen city rounded to about 10 km and the TV's time zone. We use them only to fetch the forecast, do not link them to the device code and do not store them in the database (the forecast is kept in server memory for up to 30 minutes). We fetch the forecast from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway) only for the rounded coordinates, without your IP address. Weather data: MET Norway, licence CC BY 4.0. Updates: the launcher checks kyvotv.com for newer versions of Kyvo TV, Kyvo Cam, the launcher and the Kyvo Launcher Helper add-on. It sends only the program name and its version. We store none of this.

Kyvo Launcher Helper (an accessibility service you turn on yourself): it reacts only to the Google or Amazon home screen and the TV settings being opened. It does not read screen content and sends nothing.

PIN recovery code: you give the random number shown on the TV to your seller, who calculates the code from it in their panel. The number is not linked to your data; we only record who calculated the code and when.

Purpose and legal basis

Providing the service (app operation, playlist sync, subscription): Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Security and abuse prevention: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

Accounting obligations: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Cookies

The website uses strictly necessary cookies only: kyvotv_session (device code sign-in session) and kyvotv_lang (selected language). No consent is required.

If you enter a partner's referral code when buying (or arrive through their link), we record with the device which partner referred it, only to calculate their commission. The partner sees only a masked device code, the date and the payment amount. The price does not change.

Recipients and retention

Data is stored by the hosting provider running the service. For in-app purchases we verify the purchase token with Google (Google Play Developer API). Payments on the website are handled by the payment processor Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland): Stripe receives the data you enter on its payment page (e.g. card details, e-mail address) and processes it to carry out the payment, also in accordance with its own privacy policy; we receive only the payment status and amount and the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers.

Device and playlist data is kept while you use the service; you can delete playlists at any time on “My playlists”. On request we delete the whole device. Billing data is kept for the period required by law.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
